Foreign Language Policy

In TED schools, high priority is given to foreign language education by virtue of its mission to open English-medium schools and the foreign language education given in its schools is regarded as its most important distinguishing feature . In TED schools, English education is given on the basis of the curriculum prepared by TED schools taking Common European Framework as reference. Different learning styles are taken into consideration and individual computer-based programmes are applied from kindergarden through the 12th grade, thus enabling students to receive international certificates. Our goal is to have students who are proficient in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English and who are capable of completing a university program taught in English. All the skills; listening, speaking, reading and writing, integrated with critical thinking skills, as well as structural and lexical knowledge of the language are developed systematically over the years to prepare the students to function in today's world where communication is the most important tool.
